Coachella Grey Velvet Jacket
Cotton velvet Coachella Jacket lined with silk, and finished with Swarovski crystals.
“This jacket jumped out at me from the racks at the thrift store. It has pretty fabric, is well made, and looked new.
Even more so, it was the blank canvas that I had to bring to life.
A Coachella-inspired patch and 1,440 Swarovski jet crystals later, it was almost done. I used India ink, dipping and painting added texture and dimension. A hand-dyed silk charmeuse lining (and a lighter china silk in the sleeves for comfort) were used to compliment the whimsical girl on the back.
One-at-a-time crystals take time, but I love how this came out.”
