I found this $200/yard sequined silk chiffon from France for something else completely. I first tried it on my mannequin as a dress, then cut it up and dyed pieces of it. But it wasn’t until I made this simple but classically elegant vest that the fabric came to life in my hands.

I loved the simple silhouette, the iridescent sparkle and the handmade silk organza and ostrich feather flower, which became the perfect final touch.”
